Dan Spomar, MD graduated from Wabash College in 1998 Magna Cum Laude with a bachelor’s degree in biology. He went on to attend medical school at the Indiana University School of Medicine from which he graduated in 2002. During medical school, he was inspired by Dr. Julius Goodman and other Indianapolis neurosurgeons to pursue a career in neurosurgery. Dr. Spomar completed his residency training in neurosurgery at the University of Illinois in 2008. He is certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery and a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons and the Congress of Neurological Surgeons.
Dr. Spomar has practiced neurosurgery at Franciscan Health since 2008, where he has treated thousands of patients with brain and spinal disorders. He endeavors to offer patients the safest, least invasive and most effective treatments currently available for brain and spinal conditions and has a special interest in treating degenerative spinal disorders.
In his free time Dr. Spomar enjoys golf, reading and spending time with family.
