Vincent J. Alentado, MD

Dr. Alentado graduated summa cum laude from Hillsdale College in Hillsdale, Michigan with a Bachelor of Science in biology and a minor in chemistry. He obtained his medical degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine with honors in research. He went on to complete his residency in neurosurgery at Indiana University. He obtained a Committee on Advanced Sub-specialty Training fellowship in Complex Spinal Surgery at Indiana University. He then joined Goodman Campbell Brain and Spine as a neurosurgeon specializing in complex spinal disorders.
He treats all areas of the spine and utilizes the most up to date spinal technologies including image navigation and minimally invasive techniques. He has authored numerous publications on spinal surgery, written chapters about spinal techniques and instrumentation in multiple textbooks, and presented his research at neurosurgery conferences across the country.
Dr. Alentado is a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, the Congress of Neurological Surgeons, and serves on the AANS/ CNS Joint Section on Disorders of the Spine and Peripheral Nerves Scientific Program Committee, ensuring high quality spine-related research.
In his spare time, he enjoys watching college football (Go Irish!) and spending time outside with his wife and two daughters. He also enjoys exercising and reading.
